Intended Use
Smelecom UK supplies specialist automotive electronic modules intended for lawful professional use, including vehicle testing, workshop diagnostics, electronic component replacement and other legitimate automotive service applications.
Customers are solely responsible for ensuring that products are used in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations in the jurisdiction where they are purchased and used.
Smelecom UK does not authorise or endorse the unlawful use of its products. Products must not be used to misrepresent a vehicle’s mileage, history or condition or for any unlawful purpose.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Delivery Policy
All international orders are dispatched via FedEx International Priority.
Orders are typically dispatched within one business day, with estimated delivery times of 2–7 business days, subject to customs clearance and local delivery services.
Customers are responsible for any import duties, VAT, taxes or customs charges that may be payable in their destination country.
Returns & Refunds
To request a return, please email info@smelecom.co.uk to obtain a Return Authorisation Number before returning any item.
Unused and unopened products returned in their original packaging may be eligible for a refund, excluding shipping costs, provided they are returned within 14 days of delivery.
Used, damaged or incomplete products cannot be accepted unless they are being returned under warranty.

Customers remain responsible for returned goods until they have been received by Smelecom UK. We recommend using a tracked shipping service.
Warranty
Hardware
All hardware tools, interfaces, adapters and accessories supplied by Smelecom UK are covered by a 3-month manufacturer’s warranty against manufacturing defects.
The warranty does not cover accidental damage, misuse, incorrect installation, unauthorised modification, normal wear and tear or damage caused by improper use.
Customers are responsible for shipping costs associated with warranty returns unless otherwise agreed.
Software
Vehicle manufacturers regularly update software and electronic systems, meaning compatibility may vary between vehicles of the same model.
Smelecom UK continually works to improve compatibility by providing software updates where technically possible.
Where product descriptions include supported model years or software versions, these should be treated as guidance. Customers are encouraged to contact our technical support team before purchasing if compatibility is uncertain.
Software licences and digital products are non-refundable once supplied, except where required by applicable law.

Returns and cancellation
You may cancel your order online within 30 minutes of placing it, from your account. After that, please contact us and we will help if the order has not been dispatched.
You may return unused and unopened goods in their original packaging within 14 days of delivery. Where goods are faulty, damaged in transit, or we have sent the wrong item, Smelecom UK will cover the cost of returning them.
Where goods are returned for any other reason, including a change of mind or ordering an incorrect part, the customer is responsible for the cost of return postage. This is charged at £6 for UK returns and £25 for international returns, and is payable before a return label is issued. The original outbound delivery charge is not refunded.
