Installing your module is usually a straightforward process for a qualified installer or auto electrician. Below is a simple step-by-step guide showing how the item is typically fitted, what the process involves, and what to expect during installation.
In most cases, the module is installed behind the vehicle’s instrument cluster, which is the area containing the clocks, gauges, or digital dash display. Once fitted, the cluster is carefully reassembled so the dashboard keeps its original factory appearance.
Before Installation
Before beginning, make sure the vehicle is parked safely, the ignition is switched off, and the key is removed. It is also recommended that installation is carried out by someone with experience working on vehicle trim, dashboards, and electronic components.
Step-by-Step Process

Prepare the vehicle
Ensure the vehicle is fully powered down and safe to work on. In some cases, the installer may also disconnect the battery as part of their normal safety procedure.

Remove the instrument cluster
The trim and fixings around the instrument cluster are carefully removed to allow access. The cluster is then gently withdrawn so the rear connectors can be reached.

Fit the module
The module is plugged in behind the instrument cluster using the correct connection for the vehicle. The wiring is checked carefully to make sure it is secure, properly routed, and not under strain.

Reassemble the dashboard
Once the module has been fitted, the instrument cluster is refitted and all trim panels, clips, and screws are reinstalled. Care is taken to ensure everything sits correctly and the dashboard remains neat and original in appearance.

Carry out final checks
The ignition is switched back on and the instrument cluster is checked to make sure it powers up correctly. The installer will also confirm that the gauges, lights, and display functions are operating as expected.
Digital and Analogue Displays
The fitting process is generally the same for both digital dashboards and more traditional manual or analogue-style displays. The module is still typically installed behind the instrument cluster, so the overall process does not usually change significantly.
Vehicle-Specific Exceptions
