How Does the BMW 3 Series Mileage Blocker Work?

The BMW 3 Series mileage blocker connects to the vehicle through its supplied plug-in connection and controls new mileage recording while the module is active.

It does not change mileage that was already recorded by the vehicle. When the module is deactivated or removed, the BMW returns to its normal mileage-recording operation.

Installation

Before installation, switch the vehicle off and allow the electrical system to shut down.

For the specified BMW 3 Series application:

• Remove the guard plate or lower trim panel shown in the supplied installation image to access the wiring loom.
• Locate the white connector shown in the installation guide and disconnect it.
• Connect the module inline using the supplied connectors as shown in the instructions.
• Make sure all connectors are fully seated and that the wiring is routed safely without being trapped, pinched or strained.
• Secure the module and wiring in the installation area and refit the guard plate or trim.
• After installation, close and lock the vehicle for the period specified in the supplied instructions.
• Unlock the vehicle and check that the instrument display and normal vehicle functions operate correctly.
